The Challenge / Business situation:
Our client, a topnotch company, had developed an internal valuation analysis to assist in purchase price allocation across the assets of an acquisition closed earlier. The purpose of our engagement was to understand their valuation approach, respond to their external auditor valuation questions, and potentially modify their valuation approach to resolve the external auditor valuation issues. The engagement comprised of multiple Purchase Price Allocations inspected by a reputed top level audit firm.
ValuLink Approach and Solution:
We conducted periodic interviews with Senior Financial Executives prior and during the execution of the engagement to understand scope of work and the unique valuing process/infrastructure currently utilized by our client company. All communication with the external auditors in the evaluation process was conducted with tact and acknowledgment of the need. We made valuable recommendations to our client company which facilitated them to analyze their external auditor valuation issues.
