Summary:
Mr. Anthony Schell is the Founder and a Managing Member for ValuLink, LLC. Within the valuation department, he handles senior manager responsibilities and has over twenty (20) years of experience. Mr. Schell renders valuation opinions for fairness opinions, solvency opinions, business transactions, intangible assets, minority interest equity, options and derivatives investments, complex debt instruments, FASB’s ASC 820, ASC 815, ASC 805, ASC 718, ASC 470 and ASC 350. In addition, he leverages his statistical analysis and software programming expertise to build complex valuation models for the aforementioned client requirements.
Mr. Schell is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder of The CFA Institute (CFAI).
During Mr. Schell’s tenure at ValuLink, L.L.C., Mr. Anthony Schell has been rendering valuation opinions, supporting litigious/legal disputes, implementing GAAP schedules, providing strategic analysis, and advising companies in mergers & acquisitions, equity/debt capital structure, and valuations in the technology, wireless, energy, software, medical devices, commercial real estate, services, and manufacturing industries.
Marquee clients have been: Creators of ‘Virtual’ Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe, representing three of the Top Five highest earning celebrity estates in the world; Pulse Co. – A Digital Production and IP Company, $40 Billion conglomerate Sammons Enterprises, $11.5 Billion Dean Food’s proprietary/licensed brands, #1 Outsourced Advisory Firm – Worldwide, Inc. Within litigation, Mr. Schell’s has been the designated and/or consulting valuation expert at Federal and State levels, including one case with Walmart as a key customer in a breach of contract dispute. Some other small business clients include publicly traded UPG, Watson & Taylor, Assured Pharmacy, Principal Solar, Calpian, Oryon Technologies, MD Technologies, Mobili Martini, and client companies having had board members: Morton Meyerson, the former CEO of EDS, Garret Boone, founder of the Container Store, and Erle Nyle, former CEO of TXU, to name a few.
Previous Experience:
Mr. Schell is a former professional of Business Valuation Services (BVS), Inc. (currently, CBIZ Valuation Group; NYSE: CBIZ). During his tenure at BVS, Mr. Schell designed numerous financial forecast and statistical models and undertook detailed financial analysis for companies in consumer goods, home furnishings, semiconductor, advertising services, long distance telecommunications, and natural resource industries. Such clients were WorldCom and SigmaTel (currently, MCI and Freescale, respectively); to name a couple former public companies. Within these consulting engagements, the companies required either business valuations, valuation of intangible assets or economic damage assessments for fairness opinions, gift and estate tax, sub-chapter C to S conversions, business shutdowns, patent infringements, and/or corporate litigation. Mr. Schell also conducted leading research in FAS No. 141/142 implementation (currently, ASC No. 805 and ASC No. 350).
Prior to his valuation experience, he worked as a former strategic account manager and engineer for Intelect Network Communications, Inc., Raytheon, Inc., and Texas Instruments, Inc. where he filed a patent on a complex optical/electronic circuit solution.
